I hope everyone is doing well as we enter the Holidays! This is the most trying part of the year for most people as we have to deal with all of the parties, family get together, and sweets that are brought to work! Those land mines to our new way of living will only get worse as Christmas nears! Add the stress that increases in everyone’s lives and we have the perfect formula for backsliding or even an excuse to quit till next year! Stay strong! If the urge is to great, partake in just a little bit to get it out of your system but strive to stay on your program 90% of the time and you will make it through the season just fine! I am still healing from my surgery and things are doing great! I hope to be back at it in 2 or 3 more weeks on a light basis. I don’t want to mess up the handy work doc did! 🙂 We got our first bit of snow last night so I thought I would post a wonderful hot chocolate recipe that Dr. Cobb has used for a couple of years and I think tastes wonderful!
1 slightly heaping scoop- Medi-Whey Protein Shake Vanilla
2 capfuls Sugar-free Caramel Flavoring
2 rounded teaspoons Hershey’s unsweetened Cocoa powder
To a 12-14oz mug: Add shake mix and cocoa and stir well. Add warm water and stir well. Microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until heated to desired temperature. Add caramel flavoring, stir and Enjoy!!
This is a very high protein, low carb, low calorie treat but you must count it in your protein calories for the day!!
