What is Peddlin’ For A Cure?
Peddlin’ For A Cure is a Bike Ride event that began in Monroe County in 2003 to raise
money for American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Each year a route is determined,
riders register, raise funds, and take off on their journey!
How Can I sign up to ride?
It’s easy! Just visit our website, www.peddlinforacure.org, and you will be directed to
the Relay For Life of Monroe County website. Here you will find a team captained by
Peddlin’ For A Cure founder, Fred Kelley, click Join Our Team! You can fill out all
information. Please put your entire name in the first name space and the name of
your Peddlin’ team in the last name space. You may either contribute a donation for
yourself or check the pay with cash option. You can also send out email campaigns to
ask your friends, family and co-workers to donate to your cause. Each rider is asked
to raise a minimum of $250 to participate in the ride. Once you have completed the
registration process – you’re In!
What can I do if I can’t ride?
There are so many ways in which you can help out even if you are not able to ride a
bicycle for 3 or 64 miles! You can donate to the team or to an individual by visiting
the website or giving money to any rider or you can volunteer to help out as a
committee member or volunteer. If you are unsure about riding a bike, form a Relay
For Life Team!
